The guiding idea of the project is to make the structure rediscover a sort of reconciliation with the historical fabric of the country in which it is totally extraneous and unrelated, but not only that, the town of Villa Estense is located in a fairly internal and therefore the presence of the supermarket is essential not only for supplying above all as one of the places of social gathering of the community. The goal therefore was to bring back to life that spirit of the city "market" by transforming the building into an object, almost like an urban piece of furniture whose permanence seems to be momentary.
Inside, it was decided to use natural wood materials for the more prominent furnishing elements such as the infobox area, the back counter and the false ceiling; while the black
color was chosen for the shelving and the metal elements to bring out the products. The black color was also chosen for the side walls to give the idea of greater spaciousness and also to hide
any defects or visible systems in the walls. A particular solution was chosen for the lateral parts that house the refrigerators, due to the visible systems it was decided to create a plasterboard veil.
